Even if it's not, whatever version of it you choose, an Elopement or a Wedding, it's always a confusing, multi-layered and overwhelming one, and shouldn't be done alone. Wanting to cut out all the drama and all the stress, some couples think that means getting rid of as much as possible, while other think it means paying for more people to handle things for you. In the end, what you actually need are quality professionals who know what they are doing. You want someone who's done this again and again, who can walk you through the process, who can lay out a plan for you, who's been through the worst case scenarios and who'll know what to do. I don't believe in cutting corners at the expense of your experience. I've tried different models over my years in business and have found the best compromise between giving my clients a customizable day where they are in control, without losing the basic elements without which your experience would suffer. There are some things you shouldn't have to compromise on for the sake of saving a dollar here and there, trust me, I've tried it (ever fly Spirit?) If you just cracked a smile then you and I have just had an experience in common lol. These are the things I promise each couple, no matter what:

DO YOUR LIKE MY WORK?
This one should be pretty easy to figure out because the photographer's work should speak to you on an instinctual level. You shouldn't ask a photographer to change their posing or their editing. (Although you should absolutely feel free to share moments in the day that are important for you to capture!) If my work speaks to you, that's a good sign! A good thing to ask yourself when hiring any professional is, what are people like me saying after working with this person? What was their experience? Yelp reviews can be faked but Google and Facebook reviews can't because they verify them. All the reviews I share on my website are direct screenshots from Facebook and Google, which you can find yourself if you go to those sites. I think sharing people's opinions is important! Look for those during your search.
HAVE I BEEN VETTED BY MY INDUSTRY?
Web and print publications hold awards and show the works of professionals they deem worthy of having associated with their brand but with hundreds of thousands of photographers, it's an incredibly competitive industry to be in. What's worse, mid-range cameras are getting so affordable now, how many friends do we all know have turned their love of photography into a "job" but haven't really fully committed? To have been published dozens of times means being recognized by the industry as a serious and note-worthy professional.
One of my favorite things about the booking process is how streamlined it is.

The first thing i do after we meet is send you an online proposal.
The proposal has 3 parts: In the first part you customize your order (by choosing your experience, CHOSEN services, & products.) In the second part you look over and sign our contract (all online, you can even save or print a pdf copy.) In the third part you pay your retainer (with a credit card and again, you can save & print a pdf receipt.)
it's so turn-key. no need for checks, paper contracts, and having to take time out of your schedules to meet in person.

You'll click 'Next' for the last time and land on your Invoice, which will be divided in the various payments, all due on different dates. Another great thing about this thing? It sends auto-reminders to you! Hah! I don't have to remember it and neither do you, you'll just get an email. You can even turn on auto-pay if you want! 😄
For now you'll just pay the retainer portion via credit card, print a PDF receipt for your records and you are done! It's official! The date is yours and you are booked! Can you do a happy dance with me?!
Next is our Contract! I use it as a roadmap to our relationship because I don't want you to ever be left guessing and wondering what to do in a particular situation. COVID has taught us all that these scenarios actually do happen and then it's a mess. A true professional has forethought and preparedness, so I've spent a lot of time doing the mental gymnastics so you wouldn't have to. I've made it all super clear, easy to read and follow, and written it in laymen's terms because who wants to read all that attorney gibberish?
It outlines the path of how this works from start to finish and answers all the big questions like: What are the scope of the services you receive? What kinds of rights do you get with your purchase? (Are you allowed to print? Share online?) How long until you get your images? Will they be high resolutions? How will they be stored and delivered? For how long? What happens in case of COVID 2.0? (Don't even say it out loud lol!) See how many questions already just came up?! But don't worry, I'm a planner and I've thought of it all ahead of time for you. We can of course go through it together over a Zoom call ☺️

CULLING, EDITING + FORMATTING
I usually come home from a Wedding / Elopement day with somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 images. And that's if it's just me shooting! So what happens you might wonder? Yep, you guessed it, I go through EVERY. SINGLE. IMAGE. A few times. As I make your image selection, I will have to look at all of them at least twice. Then I edit them all. By hand. One at a time. No wonder it takes a while to get them back! But quality comes first. I'm not trying to rush this and move on to the next client! These are the images you'll have for the rest of your lives I want you to have the BEST images possible.
BLOG, GALLERY + SLIDESHOW PREP
01. image selectioN
First, you choose your favorite images from your gallery. those are the images I'll be pulling from to make your book.
02. CHOOSE + PERSONALIZE YOUR BOOK
I've selected multiple book styles for you to pick from and this is the stage where you choose everything about how you want your book to look. You'll select the kind of book, number of pages, cover fabric & color, cover style (peak-through image or not) & whether you want personalized debossing (your names on the cover.) make it your own!
03. Initial design + VIEWING
I draft the initial design & you'll be about to view it as a web version. you can even leaf through the pages! there is a space for you to leave notes & changes.
04. design edits
We'll go through 2 rounds of editing together for you to make the desired changes, and the third draft will be the final design!
05. Order + delivery
Once we are done I will order the book for you, do a quality check and mail it to you! all that's left for you is to put it on your coffee table so you can enjoy it often!
