My job takes me everywhere and I love it. It doesn’t have to and I certainly miss home when I’m away, but I can’t imagine a life where I don’t explore the world and take a million photos of it. Lucky me, I get to mix my passion for travelling and photography with documenting relationships for some pretty rad couples; what more could a girl want!
Liam & Arnel are Chicagoans like me, but they too were bitten by the travel bug, so when during our initial meeting I mentioned this as a possibility, their eyes lit up and their minds were made. Fast forward a few months, we flew to Europe together just for this and my little photographer heart was doing jumps! They were game for anything and I so love that. Rainy, chilly, early morning session? No problem! We had the beautiful streets of Brussels pretty much all to ourselves and come on, how many people can really say that? Amazing! The three of us explored the cobble stone paths, took in the beautiful architecture and snapped a shot or two. They chose Belgium as the setting because, fun fact, it was the second country in the world to legalize gay marriage. We explored the LGBTQ area of town which featured really beautiful murals and rainbow-colored crosswalks as a celebration for this portion of Brussels’ community. (Side note: If anyone knows who the artists are for these murals, please let me know so I can give them credit!!) And when we were done? Well we went for authentic Belgian waffles of course!
This adorable couple will be wed next February in Chicago. Liam & Arnel, thank you for choosing me as your photographer, I so can’t wait for your day!! (Also, let’s take like, a thousand more pictures together around the world. #kidding #nobutreally lol.) Happy Pride Month everyone! ?️?
