MARY GRACE + RAY’S FAMILY SESSION IN WATERFALL GLEN

Now don’t get me wrong, I adore shooting couples & weddings, but I so wish I would get to photograph more families! The time when children are young is such a short one, I think everyone should hire a photographer at least once. It’s so fun to document kids because they’re not self-conscious yet. Their hearts are free and they’re just having a crazy, good time. I’m not sure which I like best, photographing kids being kids, or the connection between each member of the family. It’s more time, and more work with little ones, but it’s so much fun!

Mary Grace, Ray, their kiddos and I set out to Waterfall Glen, a beautiful local park. November in Chicago is COLD. Granted, it’s not even winter yet and I know it’s about to get much, much worse. But four young kiddos in 30 degree weather? Burr! The kids were not only adorable, but such troopers about it. They didn’t complain once and just had a good time running around after each other, picking rocks and climbing around. I didn’t wanna stop the session!
