I can’t express how much I love what I do, and how much it means to me each time a couple, a family, chooses me to document a milestone in their lives. Weddings and births rate among my all-time favorites, and I am beyond honored to be allowed to document them for people. This is the story of their lives together, unfolding, and I get to save a piece of it for them. It is such a precious thing to be invited in to share in such an important and intimate day, to witness the birth of their family, I am forever grateful to have been included.
I got to know Lena & Michael (and big-brother-to-be Levi) when we did a family shoot on a Michigan beach together. Lena was very pregnant at the time and wanted a day to make some memories with Levi before the baby came. Levi had the best time splashing about, running along the water, picking pebbles, and feeling the waves crash [Check out their session here.] A few weeks passed and if kids teach you anything, it’s to abandon any plans you have. A natural birth became a c-session, and at 11 pounds 5 ounces (and 2 weeks overdue,) Noah joined us, officially making Levi a big brother. Welcome to the world Baby Noah!
